No – this is not my house!
This is 265 Ainslie St. South in Cambridge. Located on the main floor of this century old home is the professional, yet homey space where I work to capture precious memories for you!
There is a visual tour below, but I’ll do my best to describe the studio…
Just inside the door there is a local resource wall – where you can find all kinds of brochures, and cards from some local area businesses that I recommend! Likely even a few coupons from local businesses too so make sure to check it out!
There are 2 main rooms. The shooting room, to the right of the door, has 2 glass french doors which are closed during newborn sessions to keep it nice and warm in there for little naked babes! It is equipped with a baby changing station, and lots and lots of blankets…and a tower of drawers which I call my “tickle trunk” containing all kinds of super cute hats and small props!
The other main room, straight through from the front door, is the presentation room. When you come for your presentation and ordering appointment, you will view your images on a 100″ projection screen, and we’ll work together to create beautiful wall displays and albums! The product line is displayed in a glass case – but please – take everything out and drool over it!
The other small room, is my office/prop storage/snack area. Although I mostly work at home to spend as much time with my own little ones as I can – I sometimes find it necessary to escape to my little office for a hardcore editing day! Prop storage – finally a place where my stuff is all together in one place!
Snack Area – Newborn sessions take a little bit longer than a regular portrait session, and often-we are there through the lunch hour. For this reason, I have a small snack and beverage area for my clients. A fridge containing cold drinks, (bottled water, some pop and juice) a Keurig coffee maker with all the fixings, and some snacks like cookies, granola bars, and chips. Of course, the fridge is also handy for keeping bottles cold until they are ready to be popped into the warmer for bottle feeding mamas!
Thanks for taking the tour! Hope to see you soon!
