Little Smiles Photography periodically offers casting calls in order to obtain particular images for the portfolio. The goal of these sessions is to obtain a certain photo, but as time permits, other photos will also be taken, although it will NOT be a full session. The aim is usually to feature a new prop/blanket etc for the website. Clients must be willing to sign a model-release contract that allows Little Smiles Photography to use the images in the web portfolio as well as in marketing materials.
How it works – Casting call Session fee – A $50 deposit via credit card due upon scheduling the session. This $50 is refunded following your session!
Why the deposit you ask? I’ll tell you why! Casting calls used to be completely free….and then on more than one occasion, people have either cancelled at the last minute or have been a “no show” for the session, meaning that valuable studio time has been wasted, and that spot could have been filled by another client or casting call model.
I don’t appreciate my time being wasted, my time is valuable and I think the above situation is VERY rude. Sometimes when you offer something for free, people don’t respect it the same way they would if they were paying for it. Therefore a session deposit has become necessary.
Casting Call sessions receive a free Facebook profile photo, a free 8×10 print, and a 25% discount on additonal print orders.
